Best family holiday hotels in Lanzarote
In a quiet place, a bit on the outside of Playa Blanca, you will find the Gran Castillo Tagoro. A big complex with a grand-ish feel, great for the entire family. However, the hotel is big but is set up so that it has a very nice feeling. It feels a bit like a small village, with loads of things to discover. In the hotel, you will also find a small private sandy beach overlooking the ocean. An extensive entertainment program for both day and night time makes for a great club hotel feel.
Iberostar Lanzarote Park is an excellent 5-star hotel overlooking the beach in Playa Blanca. This hotel is made up out of 3 separate buildings and different pools. One side of the hotel is totally for kids with a kids play pool with slides, playground and mini club. Do consider the Star Prestige option in this hotel as they have their own pool and small beach within the hotel as well as superior views over the beach. This hotel is excellent for families who like a lot of entertainment and want to be close to the beach.
Sandos Papagayo is a 4-star hotel in a peaceful location on the outside of Playa Blanca. This is one of the larger complexes and resorts in Lanzarote I have been to. This hotel offers so much that it provides everything you could wish for on an all-inclusive holiday. From a choice of different pools to restaurants and bars to choose from, a dedicated kids area with fun slides and loads of entertainment for the entire family. Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort has loads of different room options, so make sure you book the right one for you.
Lanzarote top beach hotels
Las Costas is a 4-star smallish hotel right next to the Playa Pocillos beach in Puerto del Carmen. This is an ideal hotel for a beach holiday in Lanzarote. The pool, restaurant and bar are right next to the beach and surrounded by a glass wall in case it is windy. From here, you are just a few steps away from the beach.
The Seaside Los Jameos Playa is a 4-star hotel in a peaceful area of Puerto del Carmen and close to Matagorda. The hotel has a grand welcoming reception in a wooden style with chill-out areas and a very fresh open vibe. There is a tropical paradise with birds chirping and what I can only describe as a summer holiday vibe smell past the reception. Furthermore, this hotel has a games hall for the kids next to the wellness for the adults. The Seaside Los Jameos Playa also has a great selection of sports fields a bit away from the main pool, so just a relaxing vibe around the pool. In the back of the hotel, you will also find the mini-golf area and access to the beach.
If you are looking for a hotel right next to the beach in Puerto del Carmen, the Suite Hotel Fariones Playa might be a great hotel for you. This hotel is in a great location close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and bars. For many years the Suite Hotel Fariones Playa has been offering great holidays, and to keep up with this, they have recently updated many of the suites. The hotel also has a nice pool surrounded by cushioned sun loungers and a cosy pool bar next to the beach.
Budget accommodation options in Lanzarote
The Costa Sal Villas and Suites is a basic but clean and well-maintained complex in the Matagorda. It is made up out of bungalow style villas, and suites and two nice pools spread out over the complex. In the middle of the Costa Sal Villas and Suites, you will also find the mini club, little playground and sports fields. This could be an excellent choice for those travelling on a budget.
Lanzarote’s best luxury hotels
The Lani’s Suites Deluxe is an astonishing luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of Puerto del Carmen. The whole hotel only has about 20 suites so you can expect very personal service. Also, all the suites are almost right next to the central pool, so you have effortless access. As a bonus, the ground floor suites have a private jacuzzi as well. Next to the cosy little beach in front of the hotel, you will find the a la carte restaurant with stunning ocean views.
La Isla y el Mar Boutique hotel is an upscale classy boutique hotel close to all the restaurants and shopping in Puerto del Carmen. The whole hotel is very modern. A central pool is surrounded by stylish, somewhat futuristic looking bungalow suites and largely cushioned sun loungers. From the restaurants and pool area, you have a great view over the surrounding area and Puerto del Carmen harbour area.
The Princesa Yaiza is a 5+ star hotel located right next to the Dorada beach in Playa Blanca. This 5+ star hotel has a beautiful, welcoming reception in a unique style with wooden flooring and a kind of jungle style feel. This is an excellent hotel for the entire family with a choice of restaurants and a large mini club, and even a complete indoor playground for all the kids. In addition, the Princesa Yaiza hotel has a large selection of pools, including a kids pool, massage pools and jacuzzi.
The hotel Arrecife Gran Hotel and Spa is a magnificent hotel for a unique holiday in Lanzarote. This is also the only hotel in Arrecife, the capital of Lanzarote, I would advise. Being located right next to the sandy beach of Arrecife, it’s a great hotel for people liking a beach holiday. The hotel also has a pool and Spa centre in the hotel. This hotel has pools, restaurants and bars divided over different floors of the hotel. So from everywhere, you have astounding views over the surrounding area, ocean and beach.
THe Volcan Lanzarote in Playa Blanca is a 5-star hotel in typical Lanzarote style. The whole hotel feels like a Lanzarote style village with pools and different houses spread throughout. I like the THe hotels. They are always original but with respect for where they are built. This is the same for other THe hotels I have been to in Spain and am advising. This is a pretty big hotel, but because its setup feels cosy and personal with little pools and quiet spaces to relax everywhere. The hotel offers half board and an all-inclusive option with the main restaurant in a great area overlooking the main pool.
Best adults-only hotel in Lanzarote
The Barcelo Teguise Beach is a luxurious adults-only hotel right in the centre of Costa Teguise. The whole hotel feels very fresh and a bit like a mix of Spanish and Arabian Town. There are two different pools: 1 infinity pool and 1 main pool surrounded by Balinese style beds and an open-air gym.
In a quiet and relaxed place in Playa Blanca, you find the 3-star Sandos Atlantic Gardens hotel. This is made up of several bungalows surrounding a centrally located pool. This hotel is for adults only and only offer all-inclusive holidays. A great little place for a relaxing adults-only holiday on a budget.
The hotel H10 White Suites is a 4-star adults-only hotel in a central location of Playa Blanca with a peaceful, relaxing vibe with restaurants and party life close by. In the hotel, you will find many suites with walkout balconies to the pool for extra convenience, an entertainment program dedicated to adults and a new modern restaurant overlooking the pool.
