Family holiday hotels in Mallorca
Viva Blue is a spotless hotel very close to most of the restaurants and shops in Playa de Muro. This hotel offers an extensive entertainment program both in the daytime and at night, and the hotel is constantly updating and improving. In recent years they have added a dedicated pool for athletes, an 18+ relax pool only for adults and a pirate-themed kids pool. The hotel Viva Blue is within 1 minute walking from the beach.
The hotel Zafiro Mallorca is a beautiful hotel in Can Picafort. Most hotels here are pretty small, but this is a big hotel with spacious gardens and many different pools to choose from. The hotel also offers great day and nighttime entertainment for the entire family.
Protur Turo Pins is a new 5-star hotel in Cala Ratjada. Unlike many other 5-star hotels, they are trying very much to accommodate children as well. So the hotel is very family-friendly. To do this and maintain a 5-star quality and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is separated into two areas, the downstairs area for the adults next to the bar and the upstairs garden area with a kids pool and playground. There is also a separate area with Spa in the Protur Turo Pins.
Protur Bonaire is a 4-star aparthotel in the more quiet area of Cala Bona. The hotel offers great pools as well as a separate kids pool. This one had a part covered by a roof what I thought was an excellent idea for the smaller kids in summer. I had never seen this before in other hotels, but great that it provides some shade for the little ones. There is also a pirate ship and other fun things. Entertainment is provided all day in the Protur Bonaire, and of course, there are shows and mini discos in the evenings.
Protur Safari Park in Sa Coma is a big and satisfying family hotel. If you are looking for a big “club feeling” hotel, then this might be ideal. There are many restaurants spread out all over the area of the hotel. Around the many pools in this hotel, you will find a mini-golf and swan-boat lake area. The Protur Safari Park aims at great family holidays, offering a complete set of day and night activities and shows.
Hotels right next to the beach in Mallorca
Zafiro Bahia is an excellent hotel directly on the beach in Playa de Muro. It also offers comprehensive entertainment and a large selection of pools for adults and children. The area here is tranquil and “natury?”. It has a large selection of pools for kids and a safe playground. For adults, there is also an exclusive adults-only pool. In the hotel, you will also find full-day entertainment and a high-quality, all-inclusive offering.
Great budget options in Mallorca
Marins Playa is a surprisingly good 3-star hotel for the entire family. There is a choice of pools as well as a children’s pool and entertainment the whole day for the entire family. In the evening there is the mini-disco as well as shows for the entire family. Marins Playa and the Marins Playa Suites had excellent online reviews and also, during my visit, did not disappoint. So I can advise Marins Playa or a family holiday set between active Cala Millor and the more relaxed Cala Bona. There is also a great solarium and jacuzzi area for all the adults on top of the roof with amazing views over the surrounding area.
Hotel Sea Club is another great hotel in Puerto de Alcudia. The hotel is set in a vast area and “made up of 2-floor apartment houses?”. Like this, you always have everything you need close by and the pool just at your doorstep. For this reason, the Sea Club hotel in Alcudia is very popular with families with smaller children.

Protur Biomar Gran Hotel and Spa in Sa Coma is a 5 star quiet, peaceful hotel for couples or families. The hotel has different pools surrounded by comfortably cushioned sun loungers, Balinese beds and hammocks set in beautiful gardens. Some ground floor rooms even have private pools connected to the private terrace. The staff in this hotel was accommodating as well. As mentioned, there are different pools. One pool, I would say, is more adults friendly with a swim-up bar set into the pool. Another pool separate from this one is more aimed at families with a playground set next to it. The Protur Biomar Gran Hotel and Spa are located next to the nature reserve and dunes in Sa Coma, so very quiet.
The 5-star hotel Lago Garden in Cala Ratjada is marvellous. To make my video series about Mallorca, I travelled around Mallorca for about two months and have visited over 200 hotels. I can honestly say that the hotel Lago Garden is one of the most unique hotels I have seen. The hotel has stunning gardens and many separated pools. There is a little pool bar and random chill-out areas all over, and the whole hotel radiates warmth and class. There are many Lago Gardens all over Mallorca, so make sure you book the right one!

The hotel Sentido Punta del Mar is built on the rocky cliffs of Santa Ponsa in de Costa de la Calma area. All rooms have an unobstructed view of the sea. If you want to take a dip, there is a nice pool right next to the sea and stairs heading down to the sea. The hotel felt very fresh, clean, and bright and ideal for a couples holiday in a very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere.
Hotel Astoria Playa in Puerto de Alcudia was renovated a few years ago into today’s beautiful hotel. There are two different pools with
Sol Beach House Cala Blanca in Palma Nova can also be found online as Sol Cala Blanca, or Sol Beach House is another adults-only hotel. It’s one of these unique hotels you rarely find in a resort famous for mass tourism holidays. This hotel feels immaculate, and for lack of a better word… “Scandinavian”. Think upscale Ikea interior… the Ikea brochure come to life! This makes for a very welcoming and warm feeling hotel. The Sol Beach House has a large pool right next to the beach and is an excellent choice for a relaxing adults-only holiday in style.
The hotel Vanity Suite is amazing. It has a large garden and a tranquil and relaxing setting. I was not sure where to put this in this listing as it might be right for you are not. The hotel is located in Cala Mesquida, a great place, but you will find no party or nightlife here. This is mainly for those who want to enjoy a great all-inclusive holiday hotel. The beach is very unspoiled here as well but can get pretty crowded in summer. If you want more restaurants or nightlife, the bus or 1-hour walk over the mountain trail will take you to Cala Ratjada… the biggest resort nearby.
Iberostar Cala Millor is one of the newer additions to the Cala Millor area. It was built just a few years ago to be a magnificent destination for adults only. The hotel is set in the dunes area of Cala Millor and therefore has a nice and quiet location. They used a lot of glass in this hotel to further accentuate its peaceful location and give great views from all the rooms. The Iberostar Cala Millor hotel is excellent for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing adults-only holiday.
Last but not least is the hotel Iberostar Jardin del Sol, the more pricey one on this list. It is also located in Santa Ponsa’s ideal place for a relaxing adults-only holiday, the Costa de la Calma, or translated Calm Coast. From here, from any room, you have a fantastic view over the bay of Santa Ponsa. The Iberostar hotels all over Mallorca have pretty high ratings in general and, for this reason, also show up in my other videos of the best hotels in Mallorca. From the around hundred hotel buffets I have eaten in Mallorca, this was one of the better ones. So great food, relaxed atmosphere overlooking the bay. Also within walking distance from the town area and beach of Santa Ponsa.
