Family holiday hotels in Tenerife
I always love it when I come to a hotel and get a complete surprise… positively, of course… the Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle Hotel did that for sure. This hotel had a great, playful family hotel vibe to it. Everything was colourful, fresh and bright. There is a great central pool for the entire family and a more relaxed, chilled out pool on the roof from where you have a fantastic view over the whole area of Los Cristianos. Also, the hotel Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle offer day and nighttime entertainment and plenty of things to do for the entire family.
The HD Parque Cristobal is a unique place in Playa de las Americas. There is nothing else like that here. It is made up of compact bungalow houses all set around some nice pools and a very family-friendly atmosphere. There is excellent entertainment for the entire family, from kids to adults. The HD Parque Cristobal is ideal for families looking for a holiday with good entertainment.
Spring Hotel Bitacora is a great family hotel in Tenerife, located in the quieter backstreets of Playa de las Americas. It offers 2 great pools as well as some water slides and loads of kid-friendly activities. Also, they have a nice big playground and mini club for all the kids. In the day and nighttime, there are activities and shows for the entire family.
The Landmar Playa La Arena is a fabulous 4-star hotel that offers pretty much everything you could be looking for on a family holiday. There are great pools in the hotel, as well as a kids pool with a waterslide. On the other side of the hotel, you will also find a pool area dedicated to adults only, a nice peaceful spot next to the bar. This hotel is very family-friendly with a minigolf area, playground and a friendly mini club as well. Going out the front of the hotel, you are also just a 50-meter walk away from the Playa la Arena. This is one of the better beaches here in the Puerto Santiago area.
Tenerife adults-only hotels
The Iberostar Gran hotel Salome is located in Costa Adeje right in between the beaches Playa del Duque and Fanabe. From the hotel, you also have a great view of Fanabe beach. This is a 5-star adults-only hotel designed for couples. The hotel offers excellent dining. All rooms have a sea view, whirlpool and butler service is also provided in the hotel. All in all, the Iberostar Gran Hotel Salome is great for a romantic, luxurious couples holiday close to the best beaches in the Costa Adeje area.
The Spring Arona Gran Hotel is pretty big but a hotel with a very chilled out atmosphere. This hotel is also set in a pleasant and relaxed part of Los Cristianos. Right next to the beach, but still just a short walk away from all the bars and restaurants. Also, there is a secluded beach called Los Callados that rarely has many people on it very close by. This hotel for adults only has a wide choice of room options, so make sure you pick and book the right one and consider the “up” program that offers access to otherwise restricted or pay extra areas in the hotel.
The H10 Big Sur is an adults-only hotel in Los Cristianos right next to the seafront. The thing I very much liked here was the unique atmosphere this hotel offers. The whole hotel feels very cosy and compact and has a very relaxed feeling. Also, the reception staff and bar staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Overall, the H10 Big Sur is a charming boutique hotel where you can enjoy an adults-only holiday in Los Cristianos.
The Adrian Hotel Colon Guanahani is a 4-star adults-only hotel in Costa Adeje. It is one of the smaller hotels in this area, but that is not a bad thing. The hotel had a very relaxed and cosy vibe compared to some of the larger hotels. I suppose it is up to everyone’s personal preference what they like. The hotel Adrian Colon Guanahani is a fabulous option for an adults-only holiday at a very fair price.

The hotel Adrian Hoteles Jardines de Nivaria is located right next to the beach of Fanabe in Costa Adeje. This hotel offers everything you could want for a 5 star luxury holiday in Tenerife. The hotel offers many different room options with very different prices, so make sure you book the right one for you. Jardines de Nivaria by Adrian hotels has great pools set into some stunning gardens. Also, there are many different restaurants to choose from. So there is not much reason to leave the hotel if you don’t want to.
The Vincci Collection La Plantacion del Sur is a majestic hotel in Costa Adeje. It’s a 5-star hotel in a colonial-style that offers a very relaxing atmosphere. You have astounding views over the Playa del Duque area from the hotel, and the beach is only a 2-minute walk away. However, in the Vincci Collection La Plantacion del Sur, you will also find a large selection of pools and spa options you might prefer over visiting the beach.
The hotel Sir Anthony in the Mare Nostrum Resort is an excellent place to relax. The hotel itself is tiny, in a good way. It has a very relaxed and personal service. All the staff as well were very helpful. If you are looking for a chilled out holiday in Playa de las Americas, the Hotel Sir Anthony is a great choice. This hotel is not exactly adults only but primarily focuses on adults-only holidays. Children are allowed in the hotel, but you will see very few of them.
The Hotel Botanico and the Oriental Spa Gardens is a remarkable hotel in Puerto de la Cruz. It does not look out of the ordinary from the outside, but once inside, it is unique. This is one of Tenerife’s first 5 star hotels and has been providing great relaxing holidays for years. Amazing gardens surround this hotel, even a golf area and, of course, the Oriental Spa. The hotel Botanico is part of a bigger group with many excellent quality restaurants and excursions on Tenerife.
Tenerife hotels and accommodation on a budget
The Parque Santiago 3 is an apartment complex in Playa de las Americas, built around a shopping centre. That is great because surrounding the pools you have loads of places to eat and shop. It’s also close to the beach in this area, so a great location. One of the reasons this place is so popular most likely is because it is one of the best budget options available in this area. So I can advise the Parque Santiago 3 for people looking for an apartment located centrally and close to the beach.
The Paloma Beach Apartments in Los Cristianos were a pleasant surprise. Of course, I could not look in every apartment, but the whole complex felt very clean and fresh. They have a great pool, a little playground and the reception staff were very friendly. There is also a little bar/restaurant just outside of the complex, not sure if they belong to it, but it’s a great place to have some food or snacks. Nearby you will find the Los Cristianos beach and a little secluded beach called Playa Los Callados that rarely has many people on it, as not so many tourists know about it.
