La Pared has 2 very different and unique beaches. Both of them are pretty rough and untouched.
Playa de la Pared
This is the easier-to-reach beach right in front of the Caretta beach La Pared restaurant and bar. This beach is rougher and undeveloped with black, brownish sands.
Playa del Viejo Reyes
A short walk over the mountain away, you will find the Playa del Viejo Reyes. A more rough and untouched beach very popular with surfers because of the high waves.
Best hotels in La Pared
La Pared is a small area and you can find some holiday rentals here but only 1 actual hotel. Luckily this is a lovely one. The La Pared powered by Playitas is not only a quiet and relaxing place to stay but is mainly oriented to those who want to do sports or surfing in Fuerteventura.
Fuerteventura airport to La Pared
La Pared is not easy to get to as it is not close to the airport of Fuerteventura and also on the island’s West. It is 60 km or about 1 hour of driving after landing at the airport.
- There is no direct public transport to La Pared. It is possible to get there, but it is much more complex and requires multiple bus changes.
- A shuttle bus will get you there but needs to be booked before arriving and will cost 19.43 €.
- Reserving a taxi online before arriving has a fixed price of 88.75 €. Taking a taxi from the airport has a starting price of 78 € and will be more expensive when in bad traffic, at the weekend or evening.

Weather in La Pared & when to go
La Pared can be visited all year round because of the pleasant climate that Fuertaventura has compared to many other Spanish holiday destinations where winters are much more cold and more rainy. However, to have the best experience, La Pared feels the most lively in June, July and August. In December, choosing another destination on the island might be best as La Pared often gets a bit more rain during this month compared to other places on the island.
