Beaches
The main beach in Los Cristianos is Playa Los Cristianos, a vast sandy beach with everything you can want for a beach holiday with the family. This beach is a typical touristy family-friendly beach, and most of the beach is sheltered by the harbour wall, so waves are pretty shallow for families with small kids.
If this beach gets too busy for you or you want to do a bit of snorkelling, have a walk over to the Playa Los Callados, a little beach just on the outside of the Los Cristianos area that few people know about and therefore gets much less crowded. This beach is also the best place to do some snorkelling and exploring in this area.
Hotels
- Paradise Park Fun Lifestyle is great for a family holiday if you don’t mind not being front line to the beach.
- On a budget, Paloma Beach Apartments is a great choice for a family holiday.
- For an adults-only holiday in Los Cristianos, H10 Big Sur is great if you want it small and personal.
- Spring Arona Gran Hotel if you want it to be big if you want a big and grand feeling adult-only holiday.
Nightlife
Los Cristianos is mostly about having a few chill drinks in a relaxed setting, so this place is ideal for you if you are looking for this. But suppose you want to have a more busy nightlife, with clubs and late-night bars. In that case, you can walk or take a taxi into the neighbouring resort of Playa de las Americas that has many more clubs and bars that are open into the early morning, especially near the Veronicas area.

Shopping
While there is some basic shopping in Los Cristianos, you might need to go to Playa de las Americas for the more extensive shopping centres. Playa de las Americas is one giant shopping centre with loads of upscale and branded stores. It is not cheap. If you want to benefit from the low prices that Tenerife has to offer, go look in Santa Cruz, which is the capital and not influenced by “tourist pricing”.
