Beaches
How is the beach in Puerto de Santiago? Well, Puerto de Santiago is a small area right in the middle of a larger resort, including Los Gigantes and Playa la Arena, and this place does not have its beach, but the other ones are nearby, so you can easily walk there. These are the beaches of Playa Chica and the Los Gigantes. However, if you do not want to do any walking, you can enjoy the natural pools in the area. They are at the seaside in the centre of the resort and offer a unique swimming experience.
Hotels
- Royal Sun Resort with some of the best sunny views over Puerto de Santiago. I do want to point out is quite high up, so if you want to go to the beach each day and back it is not ideal but otherwise an amazing hotel.
Nightlife
When it comes to nightlife in Puerto de Santiago, some of the bars here stay open till pretty late and most offer a very family-friendly atmosphere. There aren’t any late-night clubs; this area is more of a relaxed, family-oriented resort.

Restaurants & bars
Puerto de Santiago has a large centrally located shopping area where you find most of the restaurants in the area. You can find anything here from traditional Spanish to international dishes and oriental cuisine. Also, next to the cliffside, you will find some excellent restaurants overlooking the ocean.

Things to do near Puerto de Santiago
If staying in this area, go and look at the black sand beaches of Playa la Arena and the amazing beach and cliffs of Los Gigantes. Otherwise, my best advice would be to rent a car like I always do as this destination is a bit isolated from all the other things there is to do like Siam Water Park and all the nice things to visit and see in the mountains. Cars are cheap in Tenerife, and they will also help you out getting around in this area as it is pretty hilly and walking around can in the heat of summer get exhausting in this area.
