Taurito is basically like a mini Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria. So a mountainside resort with a lovely beach in front and all the restaurants in the valley. Ideal if you want beautiful views and everything nearby. Just make sure your hotel is not too far up the mountain or that you at least have a rental car to get there.
Beaches
Taurito has one beach straight in front of the resort. It’s best described as a mix between black and white sand beach. Next to the beach, you will find some shops, bars and restaurants to relax. Waves here don’t get too big, so it’s an ideal beach for a chill family holiday.
Hotels
There aren’t many great hotels in Taurito. However, one I can advise is the adults-only Suites Princess. You can also find other hotels in this Taurito on Booking.com.
Nightlife
When it comes to nightlife in Taurito, it is mainly aimed at families. There is a large outside stage where many people go in the evening to the mini disco. Next to it, you will find a large arcade with games for the entire family.
Is Taurito too small? Or want to see what its bigger version Puerto Rico has to offer? Then have a look at my where to stay in Gran Canaria guide.
Restaurants & bars
Taurito does not have many restaurants to choose from, there are some next to the beach, but most people here choose to eat in the hotel. So if you want to have a nice meal, you might want to take a quick taxi over to Puerto de Mogan, where you have a large variety of restaurants.
How to get to Taurito

Shopping
The area of Taurito is relatively tiny. So because of this, there are not that many stores. For a holiday, you will find what you need here, but for some serious
Things to do in Taurito
The main attraction here in the middle of the resort for kids is the Lago Taurito water park. Not the biggest one in Gran Canaria but a good bit of fun at a reasonable price that doesn’t require hours on a bus. For adults, a visit to Puerto de Mogan just next door makes for a fun time out. Especially in the evenings for a nice dinner in the harbour area or on Friday for the big market in the morning.
